    How To Fix Null Imei Or Invalid Imei On Mtk Device

    A lot of android user face the problem of null imei or invalid imei for differrent reasons either upgrade of
    OS or any other well know reason.
    I bricked my device also not long ago after I upgraded my infinix zero to Lollipop 5.0, I was faced with many challenges;

    ==>Null imei/sim card not detected

    ==>Damaged Internal memory

    But today is all about fixing imei issues on any mtk device.
    There are many ways to fix imei issues, which no doubt i tried but no luck until I used sp flash tool.
    Basically, you can use imei windows, imei & sn writer, Mtkdroid tool, sp flash tool, volcano box, mobile unlce tools, factory reset and  Maui META 3G.

    Using Mtkdroid Tool

    Before you can use mtkdroid to restore imei, your device needs to be rooted and you must have previously backed
    Up your nvram meaning imei files or you can get same device from your family or friend to back up their imei and use it to restore your imei.
    Download mtkdroid tools from here/Size 9.21MB
    Extract to your desktop
    Download android driver from here/Size 4.70MB
    Run Pdanet and connect android via cable
    to complete installation
    Run mtkdroid as administrator
    Click root after mtkdroid detects phone
    Click imei
    Click backup/restore
    Theimei backup will be saved in mtkdroid
    Folder >>> BackupNVRAM folder

    Using  Maui META 3G

    Firstly you need to install vcom driver,
    And power your device into boot up or
    Download mode.
    Download Vcom or preloader drivers here
    Run maui meta as administrator
    Click Options  >>> connect smartphone into META mode
    Click Reconnect
    Power your device into boot up by powering
    Off your device and removing the battery then
    Plug in the cable to the phone and pc.
    For devices with inbuilt battery power off your
    Device and wait for it to vibrate then plug in
    Your cable to the system and press the volume
    Up and plug in the other end to your mtk device.
    Your android preloader driver should install successfully.

    Using SP Flash Tool

    You will need to install preloader driver as stated above.
    You will also need Secro.img from your previous backup Files with same phone.
    Run SP flash tool as administrator
    Load your mtk scatter file
    Deselect any other selected options
    Select only Secro and click download
    Connect your mtk device in boot up and sp flash tool will download the necessary secro.img to your device.
    You should see a red bar followed by a yellow bar
    Then a green big OK button to verify the download was successful.
    Restart your mtk device.
    This will fix your null imei or invalid imei on your android device.
    The SP Flash Tool method is the best method and fixes all issues permanently with imei.
    Download SP Flash Tool thou not the latest but will still work fine. Size 23.40MB

    Using Imei Window

    Download imei windows here/Size
    Extract to your desktop
    Open the folder IMEI_windows
    Hold SHIFT button on your PC and right click any empty space
    Click Open command window here
    Type the following
    imei.exe ****** #########
    Note: replace **** with your first imei and #### with your second imei which can be gotten from the back pack of your android case or remove the battery to see both imei.
    After typing imei.exe **** #### click enter and exit
    If both IMEIs you gave are of the correct format, a file named MP0B_001_NEW will be created.
    Rename it MP0B_001.
    Copy this to your memory card
    Use ES File Explorer to explore.
    Make sure root and other options are ticked.
    In root explorer, delete the existing MP0B_001 file (located @ device/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI) and replace with the one you just created
    Long press the new MP0B_001, go to permissions and tick all 9 boxes at the top then select ok (don't tick special pernissions)
    Restart your phone
    Your SIMs should be detected, IMEI reflect and Baseband version change from unknown to what it should be.

    Using Factory Reset

    Well I tried this out also but no luck, that doesn't mean it won't work for you. No harm in trying all possible methods to fix your android device.
    Go to settings
    Click Backup and Restore
    Click Factory data reset

    All the best fixing your device null Imei/invalid Imei and baseband version.
